A Summer staple!  Cooling, hydrating & healing for sun kissed skin!

There are no essential oils in this blend - only whole plant extracts & Frankincense resin done via slow heat infusion over several days. The scent is very light & not overwhelming. 

ALOE VERA LEAF - helps soothe damaged and irritated skin while nourishing the skin with naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, amino acids and polyphenols.

SEA BUCKTHORN BERRY OIL - harvested from fleshy pulp of the orange berries of deciduous shrubs. Sea Buckthorn berries are rich in vitamins A, B₁, B₁₂, C, E, K, and P; flavonoids,lycopene, carotenoids, and phytosterols. It can can also contribute to the reduction of the damaging effects of sun radiation due to the wealth of nutrients it contains.

FRANKINCENSE RESIN - firming, anti-aging, purifying, regenerating, known to calm, purify, cleanse, tone, revitalize, energize, and soothe the skin, while the scent is meditative, calming, grounding, and relaxing. Beneficial for all skin types, especially mature and aging skin types. 

MARSHMALLOW ROOT - contains vitamins A and C, which are known for their skin-nurturing properties. It’s also is rich in flavonoids that support the skin’s natural resilience. These compounds are known antioxidants, capable of maintaining the skin’s defenses against external stressors like UV rays and environmental pollutants. When it comes to skin health, maintaining adaquate hydration levels is crucial, and that's where marshmallow root shines. The plant's mucilage forms a film on the skin's surface, locking in moisture and promoting a hydrated appearance. 

PEPPERMINT LEAF - helps to soothe irritation, reduce redness, and even aid in treating acne. Peppermint can also be used to tighten pores, hydrate the skin, and potentially brighten the complexion. Its cooling effect can be helpful for itching, irritation, burns & red inflamed skin.  It also helps tighten pores & retain moisture.

~ Tallow is natural and every batch is different, therefore your whips may vary in color, texture & scent. This contains no preservatives or stabilizers, so if placed in a warm environment or in transit during warmer months it may melt, causing separation. This is normal and does not cause any change in the product, simply mix gently and store in a cool place. Additionally, if placed in a cool environment or in winter months it may be more firm - simply warm in hands and apply. 

- When tallow gets cold, it becomes more firm. Some batches also may be harder than others. I strive to keep my products consistent but tallow iis a natural product which means that factors that are out of my control, such as what the animal eats or what season it is, can change the texture of the product as well. This can also cause it to clump or feel grainy. Just gently massage the harder tallow into your skin to warm it up and it will eventually absorb as usual. 

- Shelf life: Stored in a cool, dark place your whip will stay fresh for about 9 months. You can refrigerate it to extend the shelf life.

**Tallow melts at 85 degrees. It is best stored in a cool, dark place or refrigerate in hot summer months. If it does melt in transit, simply mix the whip gently to reincorporate the fat and oil & place in the refrigerator for a bit to firm up. Melting does not change the effectiveness of the product. No refunds with be given if you receive the whip melted. I highly suggest getting the package from your mailbox asap once you receive the delivery notification**

Benefits of grass-fed Tallow:

Vitamins A, B12, D, E, and K are extremely nourishing for skin. This particular combination of beneficial vitamins is only found together in animal products. 

Alpha linoleic and linoleic acids in almost a perfect ratio of 1:1. These are also known as omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, and they maintain the structure and barrier function of skin. They are also helpful for anti inflammatory and immune responses in skin, including eczema and rosacea. 

Stearic acid and oleic acid are fatty acids that are found in the outer layer of our skin, and in our sebum. They are softening, moisturizer, regenerative, and anti inflammatory. Stearic acid helps to repair skin,  improve the flexibility of skin, improves skin’s barrier function. Oleic acid helps the various beneficial nutrients penetrate deeply into skin. 

Conjugated linoleic acid or CLA has powerful anti inflammatory properties, and is also antimicrobial. 

Palmitoleic acid is a very active antimicrobial in our skin. It is also one of the basic building blocks of our skin, but it decreases as we age. 

Palmitic acid helps improve the smoothness of skin, and helps with skin’s barrier function, and decreases as we age.
