SOURCING QUALITY HERBS
One of the most common questions I get is where to source quality herbs. I personally prefer to support small farms. Like most other things in life, quality matters, and that comes at a higher price.
Things to keep in mind when considering where to purchase your herbs:
FRESHNESS - Should smell like herbs not a stale, unidentifiable smell. Should have a good color, not pale & faded.
HARVESTING PRACTICES - This should be disclosed on the companies website, if not, call and ask what their practices are. If they can't answer, don't buy from them.
STORAGE - Should be stored in a cool, dark location. Many large warehouses are not climate controlled and herbs sit out for extended periods of time.
